I get asked so often from people what my typical day is like. What I love about what I do is that there isn't a typical day. The only constant is that I always start with coffee and lots of it. I keep sleeves of to go cups on hand for when I have to run out first thin. If I'm not in a huge hurry I'll try to sit for a few minutes and read last weekends' NY Times. (I never seem to get to it over the weekend!) Today I had a bowl of unseasonably sweet strawberries that a friend gave me to go with my breakfast. Then an early start to my computer to get ahead of some emails before the day "officially" begins. The rest of my day is filled with lots of client calls, logistics planning, research, follow up, some blog reading, meetings, scheduling, vendor appointments and details details details. If it's an out of the office day I'm at the flower market in New York, at a catering tasting with a client or marching around a open field with a tent vendor staking out a new site. All the days are very challenging, not dull and still after 18 years full of surprises!
